Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) is not only applied to the new buildings for energy-efficient design, but also to the existing buildings for energy-saving improvement. At present, the most popular organic insulation materials are EPS, XPS and PUR. Considering heat insulation, waterproof, fire resistance, construction, service life and some other factors, PUR has many advantages. As the hot summer and cold winter zone is implementing the energy efficiency standards of 50%, the application of PUR is constantly expanding. On this trend, this paper introduces the EIFS of spraying PUR composite polystyrene foaming granule paste. Meanwhile, the structural design, thermal performance etc. are described. Through the software of PBECA 2008 ,the quantity of energy efficiency on the exterior wall of an existing multi-storey residential building is simulated and calculated in order to obtain Ec, Eh, Ehc[2] and the contribution rate of energy efficiency corresponding to different insulation thicknesses of this project.
