The paper proposes the approach to detection of small aerial vehicles by an acoustic array of five microphones. Four microphones in the horizontal plane along the orthogonal direction and are symmetrical to the fifth. Depending on the characteristics of the sound radiation, it is proposed to use correlation or phase detection techniques. The estimation of the angular coordinates of the object is carried out in two stages. First, the arrival sector is established, and then the angle of arrival of the acoustic wave is refined. The proposed approach significantly reduces hardware resources and simplifies the algorithm for processing the received audio signal.
