Sharing information about the best searching point through the communication process between subpopulations is an important step in island-based evolutionary algorithms. This sharing process can be carried out via three models: migration, abest and a model uses both prior models. In this paper, the impact of these three communication models is investigated on the Multi-objective Search Manager (MOSM) which is a recently proposed island-based framework for hybridizing different search strategies aiming to enhance the performance of optimization algorithm in solving multi-objective problems.
