Mobile Phone Lens Based on Q-Type Aspheres

In order to meet the market demand for high-pixel, large-image mobile phone lenses, we design a 40 mega-pixel mobile phone lens based on Q-type aspheres by using CODE V optical design software. The mobile phone lens is composed of six plastic aspherical lenses and a filter. The F-number is 2.20, the full field of view is 78°, the total length is 6. 80mm, and the maximum image circle diameter is 9. 19mm. The image sensor IMX600 that made by Sony has 40 megapixels. The pixel size is 1$mu mimes 1mu m$ and the Nyquist frequency is 500lp/mm. The design results show that the modulation transfer function (MTF) of full field at 1/2 Nyquist frequency is greater than 0.25, the distortion is less than 1.0%. To verify the superiority of Q-type aspheres in mobile phone lens design, a mobile phone lens based on even aspheres is designed with the same design parameters and initial structure. By comparing the above two design results, we find that Q-type aspheres have more advantages in mobile phone lens design: the imaging quality is better, the slope of aspheres of the lens is smaller and the optimization efficiency is higher.
