In this paper, a novel multi-input fuzzy logic power system stabilizer (FLPSS) is presented. It uses the information at the secondary bus of a step-up transformer to modify the Heffron-Phillips model and applies a reduction technique to improve the system's dynamic performance and to adapt the controller's parameters in real time due to any change in the operating conditions of a highly nonlinear power system. Digital simulations verify the validity and stability of the proposed FLPSS over a wide range of operating conditions.
