Aiming at the problem of increased frequency regulation demand and pressure caused by the rapid development of distributed photovoltaic (DPV), the frequency regulation ancillary service (FRAS) trading mechanisms for DPV are proposed. Firstly, combined with the characteristics of DPV, the access conditions for DPV to participate in frequency modulation are given. Then, the FRAS compensation mechanism for DPV under the “two rules” mode is added, including compensation methods, assessment criteria, settlement and allocation methods. Next, the FRAS market mechanism for DPV under the spot market is proposed, including the market trading process, clearing model, settlement mechanism and allocation mechanism. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed FRAS trading mechanisms is demonstrated by the case study of Jiangxi Power Grid.
