The current study investigates the application of virtual active power filter (VAPF) based on connecting of electric vehicle (EV) to grid (V2G) to sustain power quality standards. The optimal discrete functionality of the power converter of EV has been established using identifying desired switching states based on the model predictive control (MPC) algorithm. An agile-dynamic property, reduced THD and appropriate desired tracking property are achieved through the suggested strategy. The simulation outcomes using MATLAB/SIMULINK confirm the usefulness of the suggested strategy in enhancing power quality as well as appropriate dynamic property in power exchanging capability.
