摘要

According to the world health organization ratio of people suffering from diabetic has increased rapidly. As of 1980's survey, that time 180 million people were infected to this disease. Later, in 2014's surveys this number rises to 422 million. It is estimated to be the 7th most life taking disease by 2030. Glucose level is very importance for a human body because small variation from the normal range of the glucose can cause diverse effect on the human body. Conventional invasive methods are used for the measurement of glucose level. It is suitable for non-diabetic patients, but it can lead towards several harmful infections for diabetic patients. In this research work a noninvasive sensor is purposed, which has ability to differentiate different levels of glucose concentration in de-ionized water, by considering glucose concentration in urine as a reference. Low cost glucose concentration detection (GCD) sensor fabricated by direct deposition of copper electrodes on same side of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate using bench top fabrication process. Both electrodes are deposited on substrate with 1 mm separation. PET substrate used for its chemically stable characteristics. The sensor classified the diabetic patient with the reference of glucose concentration found in the urine. As normal range on glucose concentration in urine lies between 2.78 mM to 5.5 mM for a healthy person. If glucose concentration increases from 5.5 mM, then it indicates that patient is suffering from diabetics. Impedance spectroscopy is used to detect the difference between glucose concentrations. Sensor has experimentally characterized glucose concentration in de-ionized water in the range of 2.78 mM to 6.5 mM. Results shows a batter non-invasive way to find the sugar level of the human body.
