Diagnosis of Partial Discharge (PD) on High Voltage equipment has a very important role in determining the quality of Isolation media. Testing of PD with Acrylic-Needle-Electrode Model of Acrylic aims to know the surface discharge characteristics around the needle's tip of the needle-plate electrode. The measurement results show that the Surface Discharge characteristics and the maximum PD load on the electrode needle as the function of time and the function of the voltage have an increase with increasing time and the applied voltage PD occurs between the zero point and the applied voltage peak. The amount of surface power affects the magnitude and the amount of PD around the surface of the needle-plate.
