Energy systems are an inevitable part of the modern society. But, in today’s time, when the conventional sources of power generation are causing irreversible damage to the Earth and are the major cause of global warming, renewable energy sources come to the rescue. Data-acquisition system is being used in this hardware model for collect the voltage and current values from the generation as well as load side to perform power scheduling and optimization. A novel approach of integrating IoT with the hardware has been implemented. In this paper, a hardware model of Intelligent DAQ system for RES management has been presented. Three sources of renewable energy, i.e. hydro, wind and solar are used to provide electric power. This ensures uninterruptible power supply. The controller performs data-acquisition by integrating all the measuring and controlling input/output devices. Relay is used as a switching device to perform load scheduling in an accurate and cost-effective way. This system ensures that there is no power wastage and is cost effective and small in size.
