The bacteria were isolated and diagnosed from samples of drinking water supplied to the citizens in five different districts in Duhok Province It includes Duhok Center, Akri district, Shikhan district, Zakho district, and Bardarsh district with surrounding villages of the Khabur River in Zakho and Khazer river with great Zab in Bardarsh, and from different sources Deep well, water storage and water networks during five months from January up to June 2019. The results showed present many bacteria that lead to disease and we used in this study the membrane filters technique, which considers a good technique that gives accurate results. In this study, the focus was only on bacteria causing pathogens disease, which often have adverse health effects on humans especially cases of severe diarrhea, which considers water a good way to transfer. During this study, the following bacterial species were isolated and identification: (Escherichia coli, Shigella sp, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonus sp, Salmonella sp, Aeromonus sp, and Klebsiella sp. (This study highlights the need to better understand the microbial community and dynamics along water flow pathways to assess bacterial transmission in aquatic environments and provides new insights into effective water quality management.
