Research on the Internet of Things Architecture for Intelligent Passenger Transportation Services and its Application

Deep integration with new IT technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IOT), is a vast challenge for the current passenger transportation industry, which is also a new opportunity to develop the intelligent passenger transportation business. By analyzing the application and shortage of IOT technologies in passenger transportation services, the technical characteristics of IOT are proposed. Referring to the IOT standard ITU-TY.2060, the IOT architecture for intelligent passenger transportation services is constructed. The "Internet Plus" intelligent passenger transportation service platform based on IOT is developed and applied in a transportation enterprise. The effectiveness of the proposed IOT architecture for intelligent passenger transportation services is verified by a business case.
