Analysis and design of an information system for cognitive training of patients with mild cognitive impairment using mobile devices

In recent years, the use of mobile devices has provided patients with mild cognitive impairment with opportunities for early detection and intervention through cognitive assessment and education. These interventions can help patients maintain or even improve their cognitive function. The use of specialized applications provides results and new data streams that could help improve the health care that elderly patients with cognitive impairment enjoy. These applications / interventions have increased autonomy, provide improved social interactions and subsequent improvement in the quality of daily life. In addition, measurement of cognitive assessment in patients with MCI can contribute to greater accuracy and depth. In this paper, a review of existing approaches aiming at enhancing the cognitive abilities of patients with mild cognitive impairment is presented. Then, the requirements of an information system and the tools that will be used in its development are analyzed. Finally, the analysis and design of the information system is presented, which aims to support cognitive enhancement.
