Performance Metrics of Data Dissemination Protocols in VANET

摘要

Vehicle-specific ad-hoc network (VANET) is an emerging technology that has gained prominence over the years. Due to the high dynamic topology, often disconnected networks, unlimited power backup, and many other features of vehicle ad hoc networks, it becomes very difficult to create routing protocols for data transfer. This paper compares some data dissemination protocols based on their performance metrics. This paper also proposes two performance metrics based packet information, which contain all packet information and provides the basis for packet-based performance evaluation of the protocol.
