Deformation Measurement Method of Spacecraft Structure based on Speckle Pattern Interferometry and Digital Image Correlation

On-orbit deformation of spacecraft structure can affect spacecraft’s function and even its on-orbit safety, so it is important to measure and analyze deformation in space simulation environment. A measurement method based on speckle pattern interferometry and digital image correlation is introduced, including measurement principle and deformation measurement method of spacecraft’s structure. For large-scale deformation measurement, digital image correlation method is used. The measurement scale can reach 1m*1m and measurement accuracy is 5um. For small deformation with high measurement accuracy requirement, laser speckle pattern interferometry is used. The measurement scale is 0.1m*0.1m and measurement accuracy is 1um. Measurement experiment is introduced by measuring material of spacecraft structure, and the measurement accuracy influence factors are analyzed. The measurement results show that this method has good precision and can be used in spacecraft’s structure deformation measurement.
