摘要

Quality, stability and unity are the basic requirement for product in modern food industry, which can be guaranteed by proper device, such as electronic nose. So an electronic nose is developed to meet the job, the electronic nose has the ability of working independently or interactively with PC. And it is working under Linux 3.0.1 environment, with fundamental functions to working on ARM or PC. It is to fulfill all the functions that an electronic nose needed. When it is used to detect the status of star anise by smell or aroma, with the help of PCA (principal component analysis) and SVM (Support vector machine), the accuracy may reach 95%.
