摘要

With the rapid development of wood manufacturing industry, it's call for higher demand for detection of slab's three-dimensional size. The research and innovation of high speed testing theory of machine vision provides an opportunity for the development of wood industry. Machine vision calculates the parameters of acquired images through understanding and judgment, which has been applied to industrial measurement line or control system. In this paper, the design and manufacture of slab's size detection and sorting system includes four parts, the measurement of length and width with machine vision, the data display on computer, laser detection thickness, the hardware control. Detection system can achieve non-contact, high precision and automatic detection, and the measurement accuracy is less than 1mm, which meets the needs of the production line.
