The field of encrypting a video has been evolving for a long time to increase the protection given to the video data. Although, different techniques are being proposed, yet the level of efficiency in encryption is not adequate to suit the different real-world and real-time applications. Encrypting only a few selected parameters in video shall appeal its usage in the time constraint approaches. In this work, a chaos-based encryption technique is proposed to secure the video content. The technique employs key sequence generation using the equivalence class rules in number theory. Different syntax elements like motion vectors, trailing zeroes, etc are considered for encryption. An improved logistic map is used to generate the ciphers and the results are analyzed using the various standard techniques like Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index (SSIM).
