Aiming at the problem of over-voltage failure caused by the vacuum circuit breaker opening and closing the shunt reactor, this article is based on factors such as the current cutoff value, the dynamic dielectric strength of the dielectric, and the high-frequency arc extinguishing ability of the vacuum circuit breaker during opening and closing the shunt reactor. The continuous arc re-ignition and the extinguishment phenomenon caused by the gap between process interruptions and the factors affecting multiple prestrike were comprehensively analyzed. An ATP-EMTP model was used to establish the arc re-ignition model of the vacuum interrupter and the shunt reactor, and it was used at the fault site set up a test platform for test verification. The effects of AVC reactor exit voltage, the PT operation mode, the cable length, and the cable model on overvoltage on the power supply side of the reactor and overvoltage on the substation power supply side were simulated. The research results show that the AVC reactor exit voltage and the cable type have no significant effect on the overvoltage, and the PT operation mode and the cable length have a greater effect on the overvoltage. When the 10kV bus operation mode is changed, combined with the actual production situation, it is proposed exit the overvoltage suppression method of 1 PT.
