Based on the actual measured soil resistivity in a substation, this paper uses CDEGS to calculate and analyze the effects of deep well grounding, oblique well grounding, and small well grounding on improving the grounding performance of the grounding grid. Through the comparison of main parameters such as grounding resistance, ground potential rise, touch voltage and step voltage, it can be known: The oblique well grounding can play the role of a deep well grounding, and it can also effectively expand the area of the grounding grid without the need for land acquisition, and the mutual shielding effect of the oblique grounding electrode is much smaller than that of the deep grounding electrode; The small well grounding is more effective in terms of the effect of the touch voltage at the edge of the substation.
