In recent years, with the rapid development of the real estate industry, people’s demand for balcony function increases, and they are increasingly pursuing energy saving and environmental protection, comfortable and beautiful, expanding the indoor area, increasing the utilization rate of space and other functions. In order to solve the problems of indoor daylighting, ventilation and aesthetics in the built community safely, conveniently and efficiently, a new type of extended intelligent folding window device is proposed. The first step of this paper is to put forward the overall design scheme. The second step is to design the structure and work out the working principle according to the scheme. The third step is the mechanical analysis of the structure to ensure the rationality of the design. Finally, the design of the folding window device is completed. The design results will improve the space utilization rate of the existing buildings. It can be equipped with escape passage, use solar energy as power energy, solve the problems of drying clothes and potted plants storage, and it can also realize automatic lifting through intelligent sensors, real-time monitoring of outdoor temperature, humidity, wind and air quality, which provides a new way for the planning and construction of new buildings and the transformation of old houses.
