According to Toyota fourth-generation Prius Prime, a variety of bench tests were conducted under different modes, and vehicle control strategies were analyzed. The influence of engine thermal efficiency, mechanical efficiency and motor efficiency on energy saving potential was studied. Based on MATLAB/SIMULINK and real vehicle control strategy, vehicle simulation model was built. The simulation results show that the vehicle can be achieved more than energy saving potential 9.3% on the basis of expected improvement of the efficiency of various power components.
