The fabrication of this gel-LN hydrogel enhances the physiological relevance of a commonly used, easy to fabricate biomaterial. Additionally, it is an optimal material for the adhesion and maturation of multiple cell types. In the future, these hydrogels will be integrated into an organ-on-a-chip of the neuromuscular junction capable of drug testing and disease modeling.
