With MD and SMD simulations, we demonstrated that BMP-2 molecule preferred to adsorb on Sr-HAP surface than on HAP surface. Additionally, the BMP-2 molecule on Sr-HAP model also exhibited more flexibility, which supposed to benefit the recognition of BMP-2 and BMPRs. Our findings, from the computer simulation way, validated the greater bioactivity of BMP-2 loaded on Sr-HAP materials than HAP materials.
