摘要

The paper deals with mathematical modeling of coupled electromagnetic and temperature fields for continual induction heating of thin non-ferrous metal strips of the thickness comparable with the depth of electromagnetic field penetration. For such work-pieces it is especially effective to use transverse flux induction heating system (TFIHS) which makes it possible to obtain required parameters at rather low frequencies of the field current in comparison with more often used classical induction heaters working with longitudinal magnetic field. Quite good accordance between calculation results and measurements are achieved.
