WSN have a wide choice of applications also plays a major responsibility in raising a timely and precise information. The information that is sensed by the sensor nodes should be delivered to the destination in a timely manner without any unnecessary delays and losses. Cross layer Scheme for Multimedia Transmission (CLSMT) for wireless sensor network is proposed to improve the network efficiency. Data overloading and data latency can be reduced by using cross layer mechanism. Multimedia transmissions include larger set of data transmission that obviously consumes huge amount of energy. Therefore the nodes can be defined with predefined threshold values for energy level, packet scheduling and bandwidth allocation. Therefore this improves the network efficiency in terms of delivery rates also increases network throughput.
