Ultrasonic experiment based on piezoelectric effect is a typical type of constant frequency loading test, which is used to study the dynamic mechanical properties of linear viscoelastic materials. In this paper, an ultrasonic testing platform and a complex modulus testing method are built, and the relationship between frequency ultrasonic experiment and constant strain rate test is uncovered. Based on the Prony series constitutive of linear viscoelastic material, the correspondence between constant frequency experiment (CFE) and constant strain rate experiment (CSRE) is established, and the method of obtaining CSRE result through ultrasonic experiment result is deduced, in this way CFE could be a substitute for CSRE partly, which is helpful to deepen understanding of the frequency characteristics of ultrasonic experiment and present the mutual verification of CFE and CSRE. The correspondence is verified by experiment and numerical simulation, and the results are in good agreement.
