摘要

The resonance frequency and quality factor of quartz tuning fork resonator in viscous liquid media are investigated simply. A simplified hydrodynamic model is proposed by using kinematic viscosity. The first flexural symmetric mode in-plane of quartz tuning fork is simulated by finite element method. The relative errors and root-mean-square errors of viscosity and density of fluids calculated in this paper are smaller than the results in other papers. In particular, the relative errors of density of most solutions are less than ±1%. The work of this paper is valuable for identifying different fluid and for measuring the characteristics parameters, such as density and viscosity, of downhole fluid.
