摘要

This work utilizes the effects of deformation of finite ground plane geometry for achieving miniaturization of an embedded slot antenna as well as to obtain circularly polarized radiation using characteristic modes. The antenna is top loaded with a circular patch for gain improvement. Appropriate characteristic modes for the slotted structure are identified and their proper excitation leads to the antenna design.
