摘要

Satellite beacon data is important for development and validation of attenuation prediction models and determining link budgets. The paper examines the impact of how loss-of-lock conditions are processed on the experimental attenuation and rain rate statistics. Not treating loss-of-lock as high attenuation results in a distorted attenuation CCDF up to 20 dB below the dynamic range and a significant underestimate of the exceedance probability.
