To overcome the contradiction between wide swath and high resolution in spaceborne bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems, a multichannel azimuth reconstruction method is investigated to unambiguously recover the Doppler spectrum. The reconstruction method is derived from the matrix inversion principle. Reconstruction filters can be easily achieved, and reconstruction performance, including the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) scaling factor and the azimuth ambiguity-to-signal ratio (AASR) can be explicitly derived. Simulations validate the proposed method can unambiguously recover the Doppler spectrum of multichannel spaceborne bistatic SAR.
