摘要

In this study, we developed a novel ultra-sensitive FTIR-ATR spectroscopic method, and applied it to assist bacterial measurement in drinking water. The method utilizes a super-hydrophobic membrane plated on the surface of the ATR crystal to achieve continuous convergence of the test solution. Thereby, the method could improve the sensitivity of FTIR-ATR for the sensing of liquid samples. We applied this method into the detection of Escherichia coli in drinking water. Even though the concentrations is as low as 5*(10^2) CFU/mL, our method could achieve quantitative measurement of Escherichia coli accurately.
