摘要

In the electromagnetic transient analysis of the power system, the frequency-dependent characteristics of the overhead line model parameters will have a significant impact on the calculation results. A novel method for calculating the ground return impedance of overhead transmission lines with the frequency-dependent characteristics is proposed in this paper. In this method, the non-integrable part of Carson formula is converted into integrable function by function substitution method, and the closed-form solution of ground return impedance is obtained, which is close to the calculation result of Carson formula. The accuracy of this method is much better than that of other approximation formulas. It can be used to improve the accuracy of ground return impedance calculation.
