摘要

In order to locate the partial discharge (PD) accurately in power cables, an improved wavelet Laplace function method is proposed. Based on the signal sparse representation theory, the parameters of the base function in this method are determined by fast Fourier transform and correlation filtering firstly. Then, the occurrence time and center frequency of partial discharge signal are extracted by Laplace wavelet matching pursuit algorithm. Finally, according to the wave velocity corresponding to the center frequency point, the exact location of the fault point is determined. What’s more, caused by velocity ambiguity, the location errors are reduced. Meanwhile, the analysis results of simulation and experiments show that the PD location error of the proposed method is less than 1%, which fully meets the needs of engineering.
