Cloud-Cubing: Computing Iceberg Cubes Based on Cloud Computing^*

摘要

Data cubes reduce the amount of data by pruning nonessential ones. Iceberg-cube is one of the algorithms used to calculate data cubes. This paper proposes a high-speed algorithm to construct Iceberg-cube in parallel computing systems. The algorithm proposed in this paper builds Iceberg-cube in cloud and presents a new data transmission strategy. It can not only ensure the accuracy in the adverse condition of asynchronous data collection, but greatly decrease running time and the amount of data transmission as well.
