摘要

With rapid evolution and adoption of new technology and developments, Automation plays an important role in order to keep up with a competitive market and to meet customer demands. The primary advantage of Automation is, it speeds up the testing process with more accuracy, less human error and parallel testing of different scenario is possible. `Automate everything' is the key principle of DevOps. The concept relies on effective tooling to help the team rapidly and reliably deploy and innovate the customers. DevOps is basically a three-step process i.e. Build, Test and Release the product to customer as fast as possible. The prime objective is to make use of DevOps concepts to automate the Protection Testing operation by integrating it with the Communication operation. The project aims to get real time information from field by making use of Communication protocol like Modbus, IEC60870-5-103 and DNP3 during the operation of protection function in power system. The test automation system should be able to collect the different data and generate the report as per the requirement.
