摘要

The investment casting widely known as lost-wax casting is the most popular commercially used technique for manufacturing of jet engines components including the critical parts from hot section. Investment casting is an extremely important technique to the manufacturing of the components from superalloys because it enables the development of parts with complex geometries, dimensional accuracy, and high surface quality. The molten metal is cast into ceramic shell moulds fabricated through the 'dip and stucco' technique.
