Wind energy is rapidly increasing area for energy sector. Dependency on fossil fuels and conventional energy resources is losing day by day. After seeing data of previous years energy sectors are started depending on this energy field. Renewable energy source (RES) markets already validate the importance of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) based Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS). In this paper performance and assessment of grid connected PMSG based WECS is inspected via back to back converters. Round rotor type synchronous generator has been used during analysis. In this paper zero d-axis current control (ZDC) and maximum torque per ampere control (MTPA) is used for analysis of round type, WECS based on PMSG. Similarly, at the grid end Voltage oriented control (VOC) is used.
