Overview of Multipath Suppression Techniques in Through-the-Wall Imaging Radar

In recent years, with the deepening of the research on through-the-wall imaging radar, multipath suppression techniques have become a difficult problem in this field. In this paper, an echo model is first established under regular building scene, and the generation mechanism of multipath is analyzed. Then, several representative multipath suppression algorithms are introduced, and their suppression effects, computation and applicable conditions are reviewed. Finally, the general improvement of the existing algorithms and the possible research directions in the field of through-the-wall radar are proposed.
