This paper introduced a special designed electromagnetic wave detecting device, which consists of a low frequency magnetic field detecting coil, a band-pass preamplifier with high gain, a low noise receiver with high resolution, and computer measurement & control software. Its frequency range of electromagnetic induction is between 0.5kHz and 150kHz. Its dynamic range is about 140dBV. Its frequency resolution is 1 Hz. Its sensitivity is about 2V/m. Its weight is no more than 10kg. It can continually work more than 6 hours powered by battery. So it is very suitable for in situ inspection The application shows: this device can be used to detect the electromagnetic wave emitted from uranium centrifuge enrichment activity, and the best detecting frequency is 3 times speed of centrifuge rotating, and it can be used to identify and locate the position of the uranium centrifuge enrichment activity, and the detectable distance depended on the scale of the facility and electromagnetic background around the facility, and the detectable distance can be far more than 200 meters for a commercial uranium centrifuge enrichment plant without other electromagnetic interference around the plant. This device can be used to detect and locate the undeclared uranium centrifuge enrichment activity.
