In this paper, we numerically analyze the jet interaction in a flight vehicle. An in-house solver, MSAPv which is based on the three-dimensional RANS equations is used in this study. This solver is upgraded, and verified to simulate the interaction of a multi-component jet with the freestream. The flight vehicle model consists of a cone-cylinder-flare body and a lateral jet exit. The analyses are conducted for cold air and hot gas jets. The numerical results are compared with the wind tunnel test, and the vortex core near the jet exit are visualized to observe the flow structure. In order to simulate a hot gas jet, the diffusion of multi-species mixture and thermally perfect gas assumption are applied, and their effects are compared.
