Reclaimed lands contributed a considerable amount of developable space in Hong Kong. A good understanding of surface deformation on these platforms is of great significance towards a proper use of them. Deformation monitoring helps to analyze stability conditions of built facilities and, for newly reclaimed platforms, to evaluate if a desired settlement rate is reached for follow-up civil works. This paper presents two representative multi-temporal synthetic aperture radar interferometry (MTInSAR) techniques, namely the persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) and small baseline subsets (SBAS), to monitor ground motion over two typical reclamation sites in Hong Kong. The PSI was applied to the good-coherence case of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and SBAS to the low-coherence case of undeveloped Penny's Bay Reclamation Stage 2 (PBR2). Effectiveness of the MTInSAR techniques was fairly presented by deformation maps from X-band CosmoSkyMed images. Exceeding 50 mm/y subsiding was detected during 2014 and 2015 over PBR2 while a smaller 20 mm/y subsiding was found during 2013 and 2016 in the airport north taxiway.
