These preliminary studies demonstrate that our engineered MP "anti-vaccine" formulation can (a) modulate the immunophenotype of bone marrow derived DCs and MOs in vitro (b) modulate the inflammatory environment in the paws of CIA mice towards anti-inflammation, (c) prevent the progression of collagen induced arthritis. Herein we show that this MP "anti-vaccine" is a potent biodegradable treatment option for CIA with tremendous potential for translation to use in humans.
