摘要

This study demonstrates that the more hydrophobic CORM DK3 increases the ability to release CO from scaffolds by increasing the maximum incubation time. Released CO appears to alter microchondrial signaling at 3 days and also leads to EC proliferation and expression of functional markers at later time points. Finally, we demonstrate that the CORM-loaded scaffold can be grafted and support blood flow of small-diameter vessels via the pilot study. Further cell studies are ongoing.
