摘要

These studies demonstrate the incorporation of heterologous lipids into extracellular vesicles by a membrane extrusion technique for enhancing scalability. These findings suggest the engineered vesicles can be a potential substitute to solely natural extracellular vesicles for effective gene delivery. The effectiveness of gene modulation post-endocytosis via RNA interference demonstrated that the inherent uptake characteristics of the extracellular vesicles can be retained in the engineered hybrid vesicles.
