Biomaterial scaffolds recruit an aggressive population of metastatic tumor cells in vivo

Biomaterial scaffolds capable of recruiting metastatic tumor cells in vivo can serve as a platform for early detection and intervention, but also serves as a defined site in vivo to study metastasis and the properties of early metastatic cells. Furthermore, tumor cells recruited to scaffolds in vivo represent a functionally aggressive subpopulation of metastatic tumor cells.
