摘要

This study demonstrated that cerium oxide nanoparticles can be synthesized and functionalized by a simple one pot synthesis method with HA resulting in an engineered cytocompatible nanomaterial that shows higher interactions with CD44 expressing cancer cells than bare nanoparticles suggesting target specificity of HA-CNP. Together these data indicate that HA-CNPs are a useful tool to decrease cancer cell migration as it's an important factor for tumor growth and metastasis and worthy of further investigation of the mechanisms by which tumor cell functions can be perturbed by ROS-scavenging materials that bind to cells via CD44.
