The results of experiments are presented, indicating to the significant influence of speckle structures in the formation of backscattering fields in the ring cavity of a laser gyroscope. Two methods are considered that make it possible to measure the value of the complex coupling parameters of an individual mirror of a ring cavity. The use of these measurements in the ring cavity alignment the ring could significantly reduce the lock-in threshold of the laser gyroscope.
