A Study of Wave Propagation in a Pair of Unparallel Straight Lines

摘要

Every conductor has a capacitance, inductance, and frequency-dependent resistance, and at high frequency, none of these is negligible. While designing high-speed system, transmission lines theory is applied to define above parameters of conductors. However, equations of transmission line theory just are applied for pairs of parallel wires. For pairs of unparallel wires that are found in the printed circuit board (PCB) engineers don't have tools to do impedance matching, to define crosstalk between conductors. In this paper, the results of author's study of a kind of transmission line-a pair of unparallel straight lines- were presented with hope to provide a new tool for PCB designer.
