This paper proposes a secure image cryptosys-term based on 2D Logistic map in complex set and cellular automata (CA) using the secure hash algorithm SHA-2. The proposed algorithm adopts confusion-diffusion as architecture. CA in cryptography reposes a great problem includes limited number of used rules and inability to generate long distinct sequences of states. In order to solve this problem and increase the security level, a non-uniform cellular automata concept is employed in this paper. The results of security analysis, such as statistical tests, differential attacks, key space, entropy information and the running speed are illustrated and demonstrated that our cryptosystem is efficient, and can be adopted for encryption and transmission.
